Purpose

What it’s used for

Typical applications include:

• satin-stitch embroidery

• Raised monograms or lettering

• cord, braid, or gimp

Basic operation

1. Snap the gimping foot onto the machine.

2. gimp cord/thread through the guide on the foot.

3. satin stitch or narrow zigzag.

4. Stitch over the cord to secure it, creating a raised design

Machine compatibility

Husqvarna Viking machine groups 1–7 (and some later models depending on adapter), including machines such as:

• Designer series (Diamond, Ruby, Topaz, etc.)

• Sapphire series

• Opal series

• Platinum series

• Emerald 203 / 183 and other older Viking machines

Note: Some Emerald models (116, 118, 122) are excluded.
