Maxi-Lock Eggshell
MaxiLock is used by major serger manufacturers to test their machines and for demonstrations. That's how highly they regard this thread. The soft finish disguises a strength that holds up under the most vigorous seamwork.. The consistency make it easy to set and maintain tension. 50 wt. 100 spun polyester. 3000yard cones.
? Key Features & Benefits
-
Excellent seam strength and consistent sewability, even under the tension and speed of serging.
-
Mildew and UV light tolerant; shrink and abrasion resistant.
-
Eggshell color is a soft, light neutral tone that blends well with light fabrics or where subtle edge stitching is desired.
-
Large yardage (3,000 yds) offers good value for high-volume use.
???? Recommended Applications
-
Overlocking/serging seam finishes on apparel, especially light to medium-weight fabrics.
-
Edge finishing, rolled hems, and decorative overlock edges where a subtle neutral thread color is ideal.
-
Compatible across your customer base who use serger/overlock machines (including brands like Babylock, Bernina, etc.).
-
Also useful for cover-stitch or twin-needle situations where thread color needs to remain unobtrusive.
???? Technical / Compatibility Notes
-
While this version is the standard Polyester “all-purpose” variant, note there is a “Stretch/Textured Nylon” variant of the same color (#32674) for knits and specialty fabrics.
-
Because it is 100% spun polyester, it is suitable for household and light commercial machine use, but for heavy industrial or heavy upholstery applications you may want to verify thread Tex/weight specification.
-
Ensure match of thread weight and machine settings (tension, differential feed, etc.) when used on sergers to avoid skipped stitches or thread breakage.
