Tee Shirt Quilt
Use some of those great t-shirts you've been saving and make a wonderful Tee-shirt quilt to preserve all those fun memories. Let Jean show you how to cut, prepare and sew all those wonderful t-shirts you've been storing to make a special memory. This can be for yourself or a loved one.
The class will consist of 3 sessions, In the first session, you will cut out the tees, and prepare them with the proper stabilizer, and plan your layout.
The second class will be sewing them together. In the third class, you will be layering and preparing for the quilting and binding, The class is designed so you will have time in between for "homework".

Finally put to use all those Tees from your special events.
Special memories deserve special treatment.
Supplies:
6-12 tee shirts
Ez-Tee interfacing*
Teflon pressing sheets*
10,12 or 14 in. Square Ruler*
6 X 24 Ruler*
Rotary Cutter with fresh blades*
1-2 yards cotton woven for sashing
3-5 yards cotton woven for backing
Twin size batting
Thread (Mettler or Aurifil) in neutral tone*
Thread (for quilting) I like variegated in tones that match my tees
All fabric and tee-shirts should be washed, dried and pressed
Sewing machine able to adjust for sewing zigzag
(needs to be in clean, good working order)
Basting safety pins*
Numbered straight pins*
Stretch 80/12 needles for your machine
We will cut, stabilize and trim our t-shirts
Then decide on our layout and cut our sashing
We will sew our quilt top together and pin baste our layers
