Whether you’re exploring new techniques or refining your craft, this all-day workshop will take you through a patchwork of creative possibilities—from decorative stitching to quilting in the hoop and beyond. You’ll experiment with couching, free-motion quilting, stitching on vinyl, adding zippers, embroidery, and more! The project highlights the use of alternative equipment for traditional techniques that were exclusively applied to classic sewing machines. These techniques can be applied to a broad range of brands and models.
Along the way, you’ll complete a stylish and functional zippered pouch—a perfect way to showcase your newfound skills. Come stitch with us—one piece at a time!

• Building Combination Stitches
• Automated Quilting (on a Domestic Machine)
• Paper Piecing
• Free-motion Quilting
• Zipper Insertion
• Stitching on Vinyl
• Creating Coverstitched Straps
• Decorative Chainstitching with Heavy Threads
No need to bring a machine. We will move from "Station to Station" in a Round Robin format. Explore a patchwork of creative possibilities _ from decorative stitching to quilting in the hoop and beyond. Experiment with couching, free-motion quilting, stitching on vinyl, adding zipper, embroidery, and more! You will complete a stylish and functional zippered pouch.
This is a great opportunity to experience a variety of models including Bernina’s Top of the Line B990 as well as 7, 5, and 4 series. Our serger will be represented by both the Bernina BL890 Top of the Line guided air threader and the affordable Bernette B68 air threader.
