How To Make A Dresden Bloom 

This class will get you started on the Dresden Bloom Quilt - a Dresden plate quilt for a wall-hanging or throw using jelly roll strips.  You will learn how to cut and piece together the petals for the center bloom.

The class fee includes  A Cozy Strip Club Pattern - Dresden Bloom and the Easy Dresden Quilt Tool Set.

Complete fabric requirements are listed below.  You will need one of your jelly rolls for class. 

This is a one session class which will be held from 10:30-3:30 – feel free to bring a lunch or snack with you!

Supplies:

-          Sewing machine in good working order

-          ¼” quilting/piecing foot

-          Open Toe Foot

-           Sewing Notions (scissors, pins, etc.)

-          Rotary Cutter

-          Small Cutting mat

-          Cotton Thread color of your choice – Aurifil Thread recommended

-          Extension Table, if you have one

Fabric (for the complete 54”x 54” quilt)

-          2 Jelly Roll Strip rolls – you will need 50 strips – 27 to be used for the blooms and 23 as part of the border (only one jelly roll needed for class)

-          Fabric for center circles of Dresden plates – ¼ yard

-          Background Fabric – 1 ½ yards

-          Border Fabric – 1 yard

-          Backing – 3 ½ yards

-          Batting (not fusible) – 3 ½ yards

-          Binding ½ yard



Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Advanced Beginner - must be familiar with your machine.
