Set Your Holiday Table With Your Serger
Use your serger to create a showstopper table runner for the center of your holiday table. Add matching napkins and a “crocheted” tree skirt for a table centerpiece. And do it all on your serger! You will learn piecing, rolled hem, decorative edging with specialty threads. If you have a serger that is capable of doing a wave stitch, you will also learn how to use this unique serger stitch.
Bring a bag lunch. This will remind me to take a break.

Supplies:
Serger in good working order
Power cord and foot pedal
Accessories that came with your serger
Three spools serger thread to blend with fabrics
Fabric Marker
Small ruler
Plastic clips
Basic sewing supplies
Fabric
Table Runner: 1 Yd background fabric
¼ yd tree fabric
¾ yd of edging and back fabric
2 different complementary colors of 12 wgt thread- ie: red and green Glamore* 1 serger thread to match a decorative thread
Napkins: 18” square fabric per napkin- double faced fabric would work best
Threads from table runner
Tree: 3 or 4 coordinating green fat quarters
Tree Skirt: 12” square of decorative fabric of your choice- has to look good
with the tree on top of it
2 – complementary 12 wgt threads- I like Lana, Spaghetti* or 12 wgt cotton Sulky thread
1 spool serger thread that matches one of the above threads.
*- these threads are available at the store
