Holiday Trivets

As part of the Rope Bowl Adventures series, Santa’s Workshop will be offering a class in sewing rope trivets.  This class is appropriate for all levels! We will be making (2) 9” round rope trivets.  The first trivet we will make will be using red and green thread.  The second trivet will be using a natural white thread and incorporating a fabric circle in the center which you will straight stitch quilt. You will have leftover supplies to take home to make additional trivets

On the day of the class, you will need to purchase a kit for this project for $40.00.

The kit will include:

•          (4) precut circles for the bottom of the bowl – one to use in class and the others to take home
•          Aurifil 50 wt. cotton thread – red, green, and natural white 2 - 220 yds each
•          Rope - 100’ of ¼” All Cotton Solid Braid

Supplies:

-          Class Kit

-          Your own sewing machine with zig-zag capability in good working order

(we can help you carry it in and out)

-          Open toe foot and zig-zag foot

-          Zig-Zag Plate

-          3 Bobbins

-          Pkg of Denim/Jeans Needles 90/14 and Topstitch Needles 90/14

-          Scissors to cut your rope

-          Small embroidery scissors or snips

-          Sewing Pins – Extra Fine, if you have them (Magic Pins are great)

-          Mini Clips (also called Wonder Clips)

-          Elmer’s School Glue Stick (disappearing purple)

-          Tape Measure
