This month's Bag of the Month is the Sandhill by Noodlehead. It is a great sling style for everyday use, ideal for travel too, enough room for the essentials. It comes in two versions one with a snap closure on the outside pocket and one with a zipper.
I made mine with a linen I had 2 small pieces of that were not enough to do much with but I loved the print. So use those larger scraps or just a little bit of the precious saved print.
Bring lunch its a long class.
Please cut all your fabric pieces prior to class.
Pattern, (included with class).
Zippers by the yard available at Nashua sew and Vac. #5 size
I used the zippers by the yard or if you use single slide you will need (1) 10" for the pocket (if using) (1) 18" head to head for the main closure.
Snap (if not using zipper for the pocket) 14mm Magnetic snap/size 24 metal spring snap.
Strapping 1-1/2 yards of 1-1/2" wide. If you want to make it from fabric buy an extra 1/4 yard of the exterior fabric.
Elastic 1/4 yard of 1/4" for interior pocket, this is optional but I highly recommend it.
Exterior fabric (Blue state fabric in my bag) 5/8 yard
