Home Dec weight fabric will always make a better pillow. If you choose quilting cotton it is suggested that you add Pellon SF101.
1 yard Fabric A (Main Body and Back)
1/2 yard Fabric B (Solid for Center)
1/2yard Fabric C (Stripe or contrast for bias for welting)
1/2yard -1/4inch ribbon for Ribbon Stitches (optional if using that technique)
3 yards welting (4-6 mm)
1 Invisible Zipper 22- inch
1 12x16 pillow form
40 wt embroidery to contrast with center Fabric B for decorative stitches
60 wt bobbin thread
50 wt construction thread to match fabrics.
Size 90/14 Topstitch Needles
6 x 24 Ruler
Chalk Marker, water-soluble marker, and/or Hera marker.
Rotary Cutter, cutting mat
From Fabric A: Front Sides = Two 6 in. W by 13 in H
Back Top and Bottom = Two 17.5 in W by 8 in H (Zipper will be inserted across the center with this measurement. Consider 1/2 inch SA for matching)
From Fabric B: Front Center = 8 in W by 13 in H
From Fabric C: 3.5 yards of 1.5inch bias strips for welting
