In this fusible technique learn to use Sue Pelland's Hearts and More Rulers to cut hearts of differnet shapes and sizes.  We will scatter them on a table runner background and turn them into shamrocks.  We will also make a scalloped border and discuss ways to adapt traditional patterns to be used with these rulers.

Requirements: Supplies Day 1 Sue Pelland Hearts and More Rulers Straight 24" ruler 28mm rotary Cutter with extra new blades Cutting Mat-Rotating one if you have it (big help) Misty Fuse fusible Goddess sheet-applique sheet-teflon sheet True Grips-for rulers Fabric -washed and pressed-no softener .5 yard Border Fabric .5 yard Background Fat quarter or fat eigth or variety of greens Leaves Galore rulers and Hearts & More Book if you have them Day 2 Sewing Machine in good working order Thread to match or contrast Extension Table Tear away stabilizer Open-toe foot Batting and backing fabric General sewing supplies: scissor, thread snips, seam ripper, rotary cutter, mat, ruler, fabric marking tool, needles, thread, seam guide
