This is a fun tote that you make with scraps from your stash, or, from a charm pack (which is a precut bundle of 5” squares.) The bag will have a fabric lining and a fabric interior slip pocket. Approximate finished size: (without handles) 10" Tall x 12" Wide This project is suitable for all levels of sewists who are comfortable using their own sewing machine. You will be asked to do some cutting homework before you come to class- instructions will be emailed to you. Class will run from 10:30 – 3:30. Feel free to bring your lunch or a snack. Note: You will receive a 10% student discount for any purchases made in the store on the day of the class. You can call Nashua Sew and Vac ahead of the class day and aske them to hold aside any supplies that you need from the list and pay for them on class day. Supplies: - Your own sewing machine in good working order - ¼” quilting/piecing foot - Open toe foot for optional decorative stitching - Cotton Thread – Aurifil Thread recommended – available at Nashua Sew and Vac - Cotton Fabric - (32) 5” x 5” squares either from a charm pack or from your stash ½ yard of lining fabric - 10” x 10” square of fabric for interior slip pocket - ¼ yard fabric for handles - 10” x 24” piece of Medium Weight fusible interface (like SF 101) - NON-FUSIBLE Batting - precut to (2) 15”x15” pieces - General Sewing Notions - Heat Erasable Dark Ink Marking Pen - Curved basting Safety Pins - Wonder Clips - Quilting Ruler - Good large fabric cutting scissors - Quilter’s Seam Roller – optional, but, very helpful. – available at Nashua Sew and Vac - Rotary Cutter
